The Sarnia-area real estate market saw a boost in the number of homes for sale last month.
The 333 new July listings were up nearly 17 per cent from the same month in 2024, according to the Sarnia-Lambton Association of Realtors.
There was a total of 671 active listings in July, an increase of nearly 14 per cent, in another “steady month” for local home sales, association president Jeremy Guerette said.
“What we saw was a decent number of sales, a little bit higher than July of last year,” he said.
A total of 146 homes changed hands, up two per cent fromJuly 2024.
And, “the dollar volume stayed up,” Guerette said.
Sales last month totalled $81.3 million, nearly 13 per cent higher than July 2024, the association’s monthly statistics report said.
