SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is searching for a suspect in a shooting on Tuesday.

Police say Jamelvion "JoJo" Lewis is one of the people suspected of a shooting that occurred in the 2600 block of Wagner Street on August 12. During the incident, multiple shots were fired at the home.

Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured as a result of the gunfire; however, Shreveport police are seeking to charge Lewis with attempted second-degree murder when he is arrested.

SPD said community members should consider Lewis armed and dangerous, as he was arrested on a prior firearms offense in April 2025. Anyone with information that could aid SPD in locating Lewis should call 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
