AUSTIN, Texas — Texas lawmakers get a two-hour break Friday before they're expected back in their chambers. After the first special session adjourned sine die at 10 a.m. Friday, Gov. Greg Abbott called a second special session to begin at noon.

"Delinquent House Democrats ran away from their responsibility to pass crucial legislation to benefit the lives of Texans," the governor said in a press release, later adding, "We will not back down from this fight. That's why I am calling them back today to finish the job. I will continue to use all necessary tools to ensure Texas delivers results for Texans."

The agenda items for the second special session include the following, as laid out by the governor's office:
