South Bend and other Indiana communities are positioning themselves to lead the nation’s shift to electric vehicles, speakers said Thursday at a press conference hosted by the Washington D.C.-based nonprofit Electrification Coalition.
They pointed to billions of dollars in manufacturing, infrastructure and workforce investments, as well as environmental and national security benefits, that are transforming the state’s transportation landscape.
“We must maintain the momentum of transportation electri
