Travis Hamonic has found himself a new home in the Atlantic Division.

The blue-liner has signed a one-year, $1-million contract to join the Detroit Red Wings, the team announced Friday.

Hamonic, 34, has spent the better part of the last four seasons with the Ottawa Senators since being traded from the Vancouver Canucks in 2022.

In 59 games last season, the St. Malo, Man., native tallied one point and six assists while playing an average of 17:04 of ice time per night.

Over his four seasons with the Senators, Hamonic picked up 10 goals and 27 assists in 201 games.

Drafted 53rd overall in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders, Hamonic has 53 goals and 189 assists in 900 career games.
