WEBBERVILLE, Mich. (WILX) - Webberville Middle and High School has announced a new policy restricting the use of cell phones and personal technology devices during school hours.

Students are not permitted to use cell phones or personal electronic devices, including smartwatches, from the first bell to the last bell (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).

This restriction also applies during lunch periods and passing times.

Only school-issued Chromebooks are permitted for use in classrooms.

All other personal devices must be powered off and stored in the student’s locker during school hours.

This policy is intended to create a focused, distraction-free learning environment.

The school aims to enhance student engagement, improve academic performance, and support overall student well-being.
