The US President has departed Joint Base Andrews in Maryland aboard Air Force One for a seven-hour flight to Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. The Cold War-era base will host talks between Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will be their first face-to-face meeting in years.

Tracking data shows a US Air Force Boeing C-32A is also on its way to Anchorage and departed Joint Base Andrews about 08:10 local time. Russian government aircraft carrying senior officials arrived in Alaska yesterday.
