The U.S. Women's National Team has advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 World Games run in Chengdu, China.
The world-ranked No. 2 Team USA will face No. 1 Japan at 11 p.m. CT Friday. The winner will advance to Sunday's championship game, where it'll face either No. 4 Chinese Taipei or No. 6 Canada.
Team USA went 3-0 in Group A play to finish atop the standings. It earned a 4-0 win over Chinese Taipei, an 8-1 win (five innings) over No. 5 Netherlands and an 8-1 win (six innings) over No. 12 China.
Meanwhile, Japan finished second in Group B play with a 2-1 record. It secured a 10-3 win (six innings) over No. 10 Australia and a 7-0 win (five innings) over No. 3 Puerto Rico, but it suffered a 2-1 loss to Canada.
