GA Congressman’s ‘TOO LATE’ Bill Makes It Easier for Trump to Fire Fed Chief Jerome Powell

A Georgia congressman is pitching a bill to make it easier for President Donald Trump to fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell .

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) is touting his bill, called the Timely Oversight of Operations, Liquidity, Accountability, Targeting, and Effectiveness Act (or the TOO LATE Act), derived from Trump’s nickname for the much-maligned Fed boss.

The bill, which has been obtained by Fox News Digital , would give Trump the authority to oust Powell if the federal funds target rate skews by more than 200 basis points from average over two consecutive quarters.
