A not-for-profit organization that has helped attract family physicians to the Sarnia area says it's closing due to lack of funding.
A not-for-profit agency that’s helped draw more than 56 family doctors to the Sarnia area over 24 years is set to shut down at month’s end due to lack of funding.
Blue Coast Primary Care Recruitment and Retention’s board announced the difficult decision Friday because of “the lack of funding . . . from area municipalities,” said chairperson Don Burnard.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together with our community, local physicians, and health-care partners,” he said in a release. “While this chapter is closing, the impact of our work will continue to be felt across the region.”
