PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Prince George's County announced Friday that they arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left a Washington, D.C. man dead last month in Oxon Hill.

The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) was first called to the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway at about 8:20 p.m. on July 12. There, they found 31-year-old Deon Damien Thomas of D.C. had been shot.

He died at the scene.

A surveillance video reportedly captured the suspect walking away from the scene right after the shooting.
