Auburn football wrapped up its third week of fall camp, with position battles heating up in the Tigers secondary.
Defensive coordinator DJ Durkin says he embraces the daily competition in the Tigers’ practices. Safeties coach TJ Rushing believes this competition is the room’s greatest motivator.
“The room it’s highly competitive,” Rushing said. “Those guys that have playing experience at other spots and then the true freshmen that came in, they have elevated the competition in the room also.”
“As a coach, if you try to tell a room that everybody knows -- like practice matters. Reps matter. How you carry yourself day in and day out, that really matters. And so, the fact they raised the level of competition in this room has been phenomenal.”
