PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A man was arrested on Wednesday for attempting to rob a woman in Pueblo.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 800 block of Desert Flower Boulevard on Wednesday at 8:13 a.m.

A woman told police a male suspect dressed in black and wearing a mask approached her and demanded her keys and purse. The victim attempted to resist, and a bystander intervened.

Police said the suspect brandished a handgun in response and ran from the scene. The victim captured a photo of the suspect before his escape.
