ROCHESTER, Minn. — The City of Rochester is set to enhance its six public parking ramps with new technology to improve user experience and streamline operations.

Key updates include contactless payment options such as Google Pay and Apple Pay, along with the ability to pay via smartphone by scanning a parking ticket. Hotel guests will benefit from a unified online parking platform that syncs with their stay, providing access through a QR code.

Noloan Schild, Parking Systems Manager for the City of Rochester, emphasized the benefits of these upgrades. "These technology upgrades make parking in Rochester’s ramps more convenient, efficient and user-friendly," Schild said. He highlighted features like long-range access cards and 24/7 smart support with built-in intercoms and cameras.
