HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department is investigating an alleged assault during a high school football scrimmage.
According to police, the incident happened August 2, at around 10 a.m. during a scrimmage between Saint Louis and Farrington high schools.
Police said a 28-year-old man allegedly attacked a 53-year-old football coach in Kalihi. The incident was featured on popular local social media pages.
On Thursday, August 14, HPD arrested the suspect. He remains in custody at this time.
Police said the case will be conferred with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney for immediate charging.
