DALLAS — The debut feature of a young Dallas filmmaker capturing the feeling of being in your early 20s is now free to watch on YouTube after a sold-out screening at the Texas Theatre.

Julian Sol Jordan, the director and star of Real Life , said he started filming the movie in the fall of 2021, after first having the seed of the idea for it in late 2021. The movie took almost two years to finish, with Jordan filming on and off for months at a time.

"Not only was it headache-inducing to go through the footage, but it was also hard because I was waiting for something to reveal itself, and kind of just allowing myself to stick with something that doesn't really have an end goal," Jordan said.
