LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Jeffersonville Police Department is asking the public to avoid part of Callaway Drive and Summerlin Place due to a SWAT situation.

Jeffersonville police said they are working a ‘tactical situation’ which is active but contained in the 3000 block of Callaway Drive. Charlestown Pike from Clearstream Way and Country Club Estates is closed while they continue to work the scene.

Police said there is another related secured scene in the 1700 block of Summerlin Place.

Nearby Pike Elementary and River Valley Middle School are currently on a ‘secure hold’ while the situation unfolds.

No further information has been released.
