SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - WNDU.com is counting down the days until the Notre Dame football team begins its 2025 season against the Miami Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium. We’re providing bits of information and insight about the team and the game every day until the season begins.

Notre Dame fans are focused on that first game but they probably heard about Michigan football receiving heavy fines for their illegal sign stealing case. Michigan was fined more than $20 million and head coach Sherrone Moore was suspended for three games during the next two seasons. The Wolverines avoided a postseason ban however. Notre Dame won’t play Michigan again in the regular season until 2033. Perhaps they will meet in the College Football Playoffs.
