PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria County Sheriff's Office made several arrests during a countywide traffic detail on Thursday.

More than 20 deputies conducted a traffic detail near Route 24, Route 29, Route 9, Route 40, Airport Road, the West Peoria area, and the Bellevue area, a sheriff's office Facebook post said.

As a result of the detail, 78 traffic stops were made, which led to six arrests and seven vehicles being impounded. Many tickets were issued for speeding and several DUIs were issued, including one connected to a crash. There were also two drug arrests.

Deputies are also looking for a red 2008 Cadillac STS with a registration EP93023 that allegedly ran from deputies several times during the night, according to the post.
