Where good news shines

Mia Casey is one to watch.

Casey, a junior midfielder with Colorado State soccer, was named by the United Soccer Coaches to the Hermann Award watch list Thursday. The award goes to women's soccer's National Player of the Year. Casey is one of 43 players on the watch list.

Casey enters the season with 12 goals in her career, fourth all-time at CSU. She had seven goals as a sophomore, all coming in Mountain West play, and earned first-team all-conference honors.

The Rams opened Thursday night against Utah Tech.
