And for a few years, that wasn't far from the mark. But this season the prolific spot in Air Force’s backfield is more likely to be a shared mission.
Dylan Carson, Owen Allen and Terrence Gist bring experience to the position that saw Brad Roberts run to the national lead in rushing yards in 2022, and coach Troy Calhoun intends to utilize all hands.
“Specifically for superback, I’d like to roll a few guys,” said coach Troy Calhoun, who doubles as the position coach for the superbacks, also known as fullbacks. “There are enough carries where I think you can still get in a groove. There’s just so many games where there might be 28 carries in a game. I think over the duration of a se
