FORT COLLINS — If you’re a college football fan on the Front Range, there’s a reason the name of the new Colorado State defensive coordinator sounds familiar.

You may know him as the first defensive coordinator Mike Bobo had with the Rams.

You may know him as the Colorado defensive coordinator in 2019 and 2020.

Well, that’s because Tyson Summers isn’t exactly "new" around these parts. But, the guy from a city called Tifton, Georgia, just keeps finding himself in the mountains and he’s back for a third stint in the Centennial State and his second as CSU’s defensive coordinator.

Why? It just felt right.
