OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A day after city, school, and construction officials met to discuss the condition of two new but unfinished Elkhorn schools, the district released tentative timelines for completion for projects at each site.

A week after First Alert 6 requested an official update on the schools from the school district and a day after Mayor John Ewing’s news conference on the matter, Elkhorn Public Schools sent a letter and other information out to student families of Iron Bluff and Stone Pointe elementary schools.

In the letter from Elkhorn Superintendent Bary Habrock, he apologized that the school year had been “dampened by construction delays and associated concerns,” noting that there is “a clear path forward.”
