PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - At least two people have died in Multnomah County as a result of the heatwave this week, the Medical Examiner’s Office said on Friday.
A 57-year-old woman who was found dead on Friday is the second person the ME’s Office said they believe died from a heat-related illness this week. Her body was found in southeast Portland.
A day earlier, the ME’s Office said they were investigating the death of a 59-year-old man also believed to have died from the heat. His body was found in or near Rockwood on Wednesday.
The ME’s Office said the cause of death for both people is not confirmed and will require further tests.
