TYLER, Texas — Officials says Chandler Highway has reopened except for the outside eastbound lane after a trash fire Friday afternoon.

The fire happened near K&L Recycling, located at 4134 Chandler Hwy.

Tyler firefighters are staying at the scene for safety and to monitor the situation. Further disruptions to traffic are not expected.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the city of Tyler said.
