The Arizona Corporation Commission voted unanimously Wednesday to start the process of repealing the state’s renewable energy mandates.
During its Aug. 14 meeting in Phoenix, the Commission directed staff to move forward with repealing the Renewable Energy Standard and Tariff (REST) Rules, first adopted in 2006. The rules require regulated utilities to generate 15% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2025. ×
