As controversy continues to swirl around the rising electricity costs in Lake Havasu City following the implementation of higher rates, UniSource’s sibling company — UNS Gas — is still working on increasing its rates.

UNS Gas in November announced an intent to increase gas rates, citing a need to recover over a decade of investments in service. According to company officials, the new rates, which would take effect in February 2026, would cover rising costs and support ongoing infrastructure improvements. One example is the installation of new gas lines in Havasu under Rainbow Avenue near the intersection with Acoma Boulevard. ×
