LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A traffic stop on Interstate 15 led to a drug trafficking bust, according to the Mesquite Police Department.
According to a release from the Mesquite Police Department, the bust occurred on Interstate 15 near mile marker 121 on Aug. 12. A vehicle was seen driving erratically and below the speed limit, police said.
Police found the driver, identified as Fredys Ortega Perez, 30, of Big Lake, Minnesota, driving without a valid license or proof of vehicle registration. K-9 officer Rogue detected illegal narcotics, and a large duffel bag containing 60 vacuum-sealed packages of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine was found, investigators said.
