PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - A bitter intraparty dispute this week between Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Clinton County GOP officials over the process of picking a candidate for the open 115th District Assembly seat has the local party’s chair speaking out.

Clinton County Republican Chair Jerika Manning is speaking out after a series of accusations made by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.

Stefanik accused Manning of selfishness and incompetence in the ongoing process to select a candidate in the potential upcoming special election for the 115th Assembly seat vacated by Democrat Billy Jones.
