LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - The London City Council held a special meeting on Friday to address two resolutions.
One was to amend the 14 charges against Mayor Randall Weddle and move his hearing date back. The second was to direct the city clerk and other city officials to submit documents and information through written statements under oath.
Both resolutions were passed unanimously by the city council members present. One council member was absent, along with Mayor Weddle.
The meeting was ended shortly after.
At the meeting, it was clear that most of the crowd was in opposition to London’s City Council. Crowd members let their voices be heard both vocally and through signs.
“We’re not gonna sit down, we’re not gonna shut up. If we are a problem, then we’re their problem now,” said Laurel C
