( 25News Now ) - While many Illinois residents are dealing with high power bills, Ameren is offering help to some customers needing assistance.
On Friday, company leaders announced that the electric service company will donate $4 million for bill payment assistance for customers in Illinois and Missouri. The money will go to agencies that specialize in energy assistance for customers who qualify for financial help.
Joe Solari, Ameren’s vice president for customer service, said he wants residents to know that additional help is on the way through community service.
“We understand the economic hardships families living in our communities are facing each day,” Solari said. “We want customers to know additional help will soon be available from Ameren through our community partners.”
