BLOOMINGTON ( 25News Now ) - The Market Street Parking Garage in Downtown Bloomington will close for good in a week because of the 50-year-old structure’s worsening condition.

The city said it’s become increasingly expensive over the years for temporary fixes, so the garage will close on Friday, Aug. 22, with the hope that sometime in the near future, it will become the site of a long-awaited Connect Transit indoor transfer center.
