The decision of whether or not to proceed with the first of two Canadian Forces Snowbirds shows in Nanaimo is still to be determined on Friday afternoon.

The Snowbirds have two shows in the Harbour City, on Friday and Saturday.

The current rainy and cloudy weather on Friday means a decision on whether it is safe to proceed will have to be made closer to the showtime.

However, the public affairs officer for the team notes that cancelling and proceeding are not the only two options.

Depending on the clouds, the team may perform a “high” performance, meaning the full aerobatic routine will take place, a low performace, meaning a modified routies, or a flat performance, which is a non-aerobatic display.
