Tributes have been paid following the sudden death of Glasgow comedian Gary Little.

Gary, who has been described as a "legend", leaves the Scottish comedy world heartbroken after news broke of his passing today, August 15 - the 61-year-old is understood to have passed away earlier this week.

The much-loved comic -originally from Springburn - was a regular on the stand-up circuit and a fixture at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and had been due to perform the Glee Club in Glasgow on Friday and Saturday night.

The Glee Club led tributes on social media. Their heartbreaking post read: "We're completely shocked and heartbroken to hear about the passing of our dear friend Gary Little.

"Gary wasn't just one of Scotland's finest comedians, he was a true original.
