ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Kaylee's Lemonade Stand returned for its second year on 815 Day, raising funds for Oscar Mike, a nonprofit supporting disabled veterans.
Kaylee is a 4th generation entrepreneur from the Morrissey family, who launched her lemonade stand in 2024.
The event was sponsored by Morrissey Family Businesses, which matched donations from attendees. All proceeds from the lemonade and cookies sold were directed towards Oscar Mike's new campus in Timberlane.
"I was shocked at how many organizations and companies around Rockford are doing something for 815 Day. I think it's great to celebrate our region and our community," said Mary Beth Clausan, vice president of Morrissey Family Business.
