A domestic dispute escalates, leading officers to pursue and rescue an unharmed one-year-old.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A St. Petersburg man was arrested Thursday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted his partner, took their child, and ran into oncoming traffic with the one-year-old on his back.

According to a report from the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers were called to a domestic dispute at 3:05 p.m. on August 14, 2025. The suspect, identified as Treyvon Maynor, 21, had reportedly followed his domestic partner, who had left their home with the child and was picked up by a friend in a vehicle. Maynor allegedly caught up to the car, blocked it, and then entered the vehicle.
