STOLEN CREDIT CARD USED FOR PURCHASES

Brandon Police Service arrested a man on Wednesday who allegedly broke into a company vehicle and made multiple purchases on a stolen credit card.

Police received a report on Monday that somebody broke into a company vehicle in the first block of 10th Street.

A credit card was stolen and used four times on Tuesday totalling $87.31 in fraudulent charges, police said in a news release.

The incident was caught on video surveillance.

On Wednesday, BPS cadets saw a suspect who matched the identity of the suspect on the video surveillance at around 2:30 p.m. and notified police.

Police arrested a 34-year-old man without incident and transported him to BPS for processing. He was later released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Oct
