SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA— Summerlin South Little League of Nevada, the Mountain Region champions, knocked off Bonney Lake/Sumner LL of Washington, the Northwest winners, 5-3 in a battle between two Western squads that headlined the third day of action in Williamsport on Friday.

Nevada wasted no time getting on the board, scoring two runs in the first inning to grab early momentum. Starting pitcher Ethan Robertson immediately showed he was locked in, needing just seven pitches to set down the Washington side in order in the bottom half of the frame.
