CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Centre County Government is warning residents of a reported scam that is targeting people through the United States Postal Service (USPS).
According to a post from the Centre County Sheriff's Office, the scammers are impersonating people in an attempt to trick victims into believing that they owe money to the state for not paying their taxes.
"Remember, your vigilance is the best defense against scammers," the sheriff's office said in a post.
