CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ)--A Cambria County judge has ordered Express Scripts to pause its plan to end its contract with Martella's Pharmacy, affecting six locations in Cambria, Westmoreland, and Somerset counties.

The decision came after the Pittsburgh-based law firm Scanlon and Wojton filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of around 300 Martella's Pharmacy patients and clients. The injunction maintains the status quo until both parties can present their arguments in court next Wednesday.

Attorney Mathew Scanlon emphasized the responsibility to protect patient health, stating that corporate decisions should not put patient health at risk.
