HALSEY, Ore. - Nightly closures of I-5 ramps are set to begin on Sunday night as part of a paving project, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

ODOT officials said that the closures will impact ramps at I-5 Exit 209 to Diamond Hill Road near Harrisburg and I-5 Exit 216 to OR 228 near Halsey.

Northbound ramps at Exit 216 will close nightly from Aug. 17 to Aug. 19, while southbound ramps will close from Aug. 19 to Aug. 22. Meanwhile, northbound ramps at Exit 209 will close from Aug. 24 to Aug. 26.

Drivers can expect construction noise, delays, and a reduced speed limit of 55 mph in the work zone. Lane closures will happen between 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., with crews working mostly at night.
