Tributes were paid to former Liverpool forward Diogo Jota during the first game of this season's Premier League campaign. Digo Jota's chant was sung by thousands before a minute's silence was held as Liverpool faced Bournemouth at Anfield. Liverpool players made their way onto the pitch as fans waved banners, flags and scarves that featured Jota's name and photo. After an emotional rendition of the club's anthem, 'You'll Never Walk Alone', placards were held up in the Kopp end to display a mosaic spelling out 'DJ20', representing Jota's initials and shirt number that he wore for the club.
Placards were also held up to spell AS30, to commemorate Andre Silva, Jota's younger brother who also died in the crash.
