LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Rio Grande International Study Center (RGISC), in collaboration with Friends Across Borders and other local partners, is hosting its Day of International Friendship event this weekend.

The event starts on Saturday, August 16, with a ceremony at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge, also known as Bridge Two, celebrating the connections between the U.S., Mexico and Canada, followed by a large party to conclude the festivities.

According to Neighborhood Cultural Organizer with the RGISC, Mario Flores, “We’re also having a nice celebration at night from 7 to 10 p.m. We will have music.
