NEWTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Six of the suspects facing charges tied to the June mass shooting at a house party have court hearings next week.

The group that authorities are calling the “Hillside Shooters" is expected to have its cases appear in Catawba County Superior Court Monday, Aug. 18. All suspects are accused of planning the shooting in advance using social media: Garon Nathaniel Killian, Ke’Andre O’Neal Mack, Toland Huff Jr., Izaiah Kane Mitchell and Charles Rodell Kincaid III.

They are each facing 63 counts of attempted first degree murder, reflecting the estimated number of people that ended up in the line of gunfire at a house party on June 1.
