Louisville Metro Police officials are searching for an unknown driver after a bicyclist was struck in a fatal hit-and-run accident Aug. 11.

LMPD officers responded to a call for service around 9:45 p.m. on a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist near the intersection of Chamberlain Lane and Chamberlain Court, said LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis.

According to a news release, a preliminary investigation indicated that an unknown vehicle was traveling on Chamberlain Lane when it entered the intersection near Chamberlain Court. The vehicle struck a man on a bicycle, which cause the bicyclist to be knocked off.
