SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Enrollment is down across the nation, and that fact is also reflected in Sioux City.

Western Iowa Tech Community College (WIT) recently reported at a public board meeting that enrollment is seeing a downward trend.

Troy Jasman from WIT shared reasons he hears from students for not pursuing their education.

"In general, what we are hearing are the same things," said Jasman. "'Do I want to spend money and go to a school, have to study and work hard?' That is something that you will have to do, but that is an investment that is going to pay off."
