RUTLAND, Mass. —

Crews from several communities were battling a house fire in Rutland on Friday morning.

The fire broke out just after 9 a.m. on the front porch of 91 Central Tree Road, near the Holden town line.

Rutland Fire Chief Seth Knipe said the home is located outside the town's hydrant system, and because of a limited water supply and the heat, a fourth alarm was struck at 10 a.m.

From Sky5, flames could be seen shooting from the roof of a yellow, two-story home and crews were using hoses from ladder trucks and the ground to extinguish the flames.

The home was a complete loss and was taken down after the fire was put out, Knipe said.

Crews from Rutland, Barre, Holden, Gardner, Paxton and Hubbardston were seen at the site.
