CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Maple Heights man on Friday pleaded not guilty to murder in the Aug. 4 shooting death of his girlfriend.

Darien Hobley, 22, also denied charges of felonious assault and tampering with evidence at his arraignment before Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Kira Krivosh. He appeared via teleconference from the county jail, where he remained Friday in lieu of a $1 million bond.
