MISSOULA — Montana is historically known as "Linebacker U" in the Football Championship Subdivision because the Grizzlies regularly produce nationally elite players at the position.
This year's new-look crop of linebackers has multiple transfers who've proven themselves in previous seasons but will now try to replicate that while playing in a new defense and scheme so they can add to the school's proud tradition.
Among the headlining newcomers, upperclassmen Elijawah Tolbert and Peyton Wing have already earned FCS all-conference honors in the past and have also received preseason All-America recognition heading into this season.
