BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Logan County is home to the first-ever Isaiah 117 House in Kentucky.
“As one of the first mammas who, had this vision at a round table at a coffee shop. To see our community come to get here, to break ground on the first home in Kentucky, it’s overwhelming but we are excited to see the change in how foster care begins,” explains care coordinator Emily Driskill.
The non-profit organization offers a safe and comfortable place for kids who are removed from their homes, in what is considered the hardest moment of their lives. Minors who are removed from their homes normally spend hours, if not days, in a Department of Child Services office building while waiting to be placed with a foster family.
